“A gathering which brings art and food lovers together while helping Haiti”

On Sunday October 30th, 2016 at Moca Cafe, Books and Bites invites all book lovers, art lovers, foodies and shopaholics to join us at “Books, Bites & Bazaar”, where we will welcome award-winning author Edwidge Danticat to discuss her popular book “ Breath, Eyes, Memory” which was selected as one of “Oprah’s Book Club Selection.” A story rich in culture, strength, mysticism and history. Bring your book, have it signed and take a selfie with the author. Parts of the proceeds from the book sales will go to Gaskov Clerve Foundation, for relief efforts in Haiti.

Why not start your holiday shopping early while supporting local businesses? Books, Bites and Bazaar will also include pop up shops from over 15 vendors and artists. Everything from handmade bath bombs, henna, eclectic accessories, dream catchers, wooden watches and more…

Come on an empty stomach; there will be plenty of macaroons, vegan bites, gourmet puddings,
Homemade kibbehs, Haitian delicacies and more for you to sample and take home.
Amazing local artists like Nia Devine and Yella Soul will keep us entertained with live performances prior to and after the discussion.

Admission is $10 and this includes free bites and a raffle ticket to win goodie bags from our vendors. The gathering starts at 4:00pm. Moca Cafe is located at: 738 NE 25th Street, North Miami, FL, 33161
