Duke Students Forging a Bond with Haiti

Duke students Lydia Bradford and Quinn Holmquist share their experiences during their trips to Haiti. They traveled to Haiti to work with different communities: Quinn in the small town of Bayonè near Gonaïves and Lydia in Leyogàn which is not far from the capital of Port-au-Prince.

They took Kreyòl classes with Duke Lecturer Jacques Pierre, who is also the co-director of the Haiti Lab.
Check out more from Duke’s Haiti Lab! Co-director Jacques Pierre discusses the use of Kreyòl in education in Haiti with MIT professor Michel DeGraff:  https://youtu.be/9Ukagm5eIvI
