Bas & J. Cole Release “Tribe” Video Shot In Little Haiti, Miami

Before Bas drops off his highly anticipated Milky Way album, early Wednesday morning, the Queens native unleashes one final single prior to Friday’s release. The artist connected with Dreamville head honcho J. Cole for “Tribe,” and headed to Miami’s to shoot a vibrant visual.

For the Scott Laser-directed video, it finds the Dreamville rappers posted up in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood and the Little Haiti Cultural Center, a vibrant cultural hub particularly characterized by its colorful murals, Bas and Cole are seen performing with live street musicians, and in front of numerous murals by famed Haitian artist Serge Toussaint — a painter whose work has been synonymous with the neighborhood for decades.

According to Bas, the video for the feel-good track was shot in Miami’s Little Haiti, after the “Boca Raton” rapper spent a week in Lagos, Nigeria picking up all the island vibes.
