Comedian Michelle Buteau will host a new comedy podcast, “Late Night Whenever” for WYNC Studios. The show, a parody of late night TV including guests, music, and stand-up comedy, will be taped before a live audience in New York with “One Man Band “Rob Lewis” as the house band.

Born in New Jersey to a Haitian father and Jamaican mother, you may recognize Buteau’ raw and socially-conscious comedy from VH1’s Best Week Ever, Comedy Central’s Key & Peele or NBC’s Last Comic Standing. You can catch her co-hosting on VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live with Nick Lachey weekdays at 9AM. She was nominated for a New Now Next Award and also played the sassy sidekick on The Jenny McCarthy Show.

As a comedian, Buteau has toured the country performing at colleges, clubs and comedy festivals. Her television stand-up appearances include The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Lopez Tonight, Comedy Central and Last Comic Standing.

Buteau tells Essence, “In Late Night Whenever, I’ll welcome celebrity guests, comedian friends, and always have my homey, my Black Dr. Phil, my professional friend, and music director Rob Lewis, by my side,” Buteau said about Lewis who’s produced for Christina Aguilera and Patti LaBelle.

Live tapings of the show will happen every Tuesday at the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space in NYC. Late Night Whenever debuts on April 3 and is bringing a weekly dose of laughs to listeners.
