I am so excited to introduce Bien Abyé Fall/Winter designs to my readers. I love the  “Navy Is The New Black” concept and the hint of yellow, rich fabrics, deep tones and Intricate detailing makes the pieces fresh and exciting.

Bien Abyé which means “well dressed” is a ready to wear collection encompassing a French style that is sophisticated and chic with a Creole influence. Inspired by the elaborate structures of Gingerbread house architecture and its ornate latticework design details, the collection is created using unique silhouettes, romantic elements, and vibrant colors to highlight the inner beauty and elegance of a woman. Bien Abyé designs in vignettes that deliver a concise offering of S7VEN styles for a women’s wardrobe that will not only make her life easier, but most of all, more fabulous.

Haitian-American Dayanne Danier is the fashion designer behind the women’s contemporary ready to wear brand. The collection is a combination of French style with a Creole influence. Danier has presented the Bien Abyé collection in numerous cities throughout the United States. The line has been exhibited in fashion shows in Boston, New York, Washington DC, Atlanta, and Miami.  Before creating her own collection, Dayanne’s knowledge of the fashion industry extends over a decade. Danier grew up in Massachusetts where her influence on style evolved from her Creole father; “Growing up my dad would always say to us, kids make sure you are Bien Abyé, you don’t want people talking about you!” Later she attended Massachusetts College of Art where she obtained a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Fashion Design. Upon graduating Dayanne remained in Boston working for Blauer Manufacturing where she was first exposed to manufacturing garments in the United States. In 2002, Danier moved to Miami to work for Perry Ellis International as a designer and in late 2004, she moved back to the north-east and settled in New York to work as a menswear knit designer for While achieving career success in the arts and fashion, Dayanne spends much of her time giving back to the community both in the United States and abroad.

She is the co-founder of the non-profit organization Fleur De Vie (means Flower of Life) whose mission is to support struggling organizations whose focus is to implement positive change in their community in the areas of education, health, and environmental sus-tainability. Dayanne has also traveled to Haiti to teach the members of a sewing coop pattern drafting and construction, served as a panelist for the New York organization called Power Play which caters to young women, and has been the guest critic for Stephen’s College fashion department during reviews boards.

Here is a look at some for the pieces from the Fall/Winter Collection. Visit the website for more on the collection.
