On Saturday (Nov.14) I was one of Haitian-American Karen Civil’s guest at her 5th annual Live Civil Brunch at the Samsung Studio in Los Angeles.

Karen who wore a beautiful all-white jumpsuit launched the Live Civil Brunch five years ago after moving to LA with the focus of bringing together an intimate group of dynamic young women who are committed to their craft and dedicated to the progression of women everywhere.

Attendees of the brunch included Black Ish Star Yara Shahidi  actress Lauren London, Amber Riley, Keke Palmer, Elise Neal, Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star Apyrl Jones, R&B singer Sevyn Streeter, Dawn Richard, Melanie Fiona, Basketball wives LA, Malaysia Pargo, and dozens of women CEO’s and entrepreneurs who were personally invited by Karen for an afternoon of music, networking, and women empowerment.

Karen, thank you for inviting me, I had an amazing time trading stories, accomplishments and contact information with some of the hardest working women in the entertainment industry.
