President Trump on Monday gave a presser from the White House briefing room and outlined new Coronavirus guidelines for Americans, predicting the virus will be a threat through July or August. ‘Each and every one of us has a critical role to play in stopping the spread,’ the president said in the White House briefing room. The President outlined new guidelines for Americans, “including the young and healthy,” including engaging in home education, avoiding gatherings of more than 10, avoiding discretionary travel, and avoiding bars, restaurants and food courts.

Dr. Anthony Fauci stepped in to clarify the guidelines were not in effect that long.

‘The guidelines are over a 15 day-trial guideline,’ Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said and added that they will be reconsidered after the initial run. ‘The president was saying that the trajectory of the outbreak may go until then, make sure you don’t think that it’s solid in stone until July’ for the guidelines.

The two-page list, called ’15 Days to Slow the Spread,’ advises avoiding ‘eating or drinking in bars, restaurants, and food courts – use drive-through, pickup, and delivery options.’

The Guidelines Include:

  • If you feel sick, stay home. Don’t go to work. Contact your doctor.
  • If your children are sick, keep them home.
  • If someone in your house has tested positive for the coronavirus, keep the entire household at home. Don’t go to work.
  • If you are older, stay home and away from people.
  • If you have underlying health conditions, stay home and away from others.
  • If you work in infrastructure, follow CDC guidelines to protect health.
  • Work or engage in schooling from home when you can.
  • Avoid social gatherings.
  • Avoid eating or drinking at bars, restaurants or food courts. Use drive-through, pick up or delivery options for food.
  • Avoid shopping trips, social visits, and discretionary travel.
  • Do not visit nursing homes or retirement homes.
  • Practice good hygiene.
