The cons are access to quality healthcare and the unstable political nature of Haiti. My Mom retired in Haiti over fifteen years ago. The key is having the funds to enjoy Haiti and being able to leave as necessary. Having a home equipped with the basics especially electricity are key to minimizing frustration.
