On Wednesday, June 1, the Artists for Peace and Justice/Cine Institute and French Institute:Alliance Francais are hosted Haiti Optimiste, a celebration of creativity and culture through music, dance and film.
Guests enjoyed a special screening of Dans la cour de Vivianne Gauthier, as well as musical performances by Paul Beaubrun, Lakou Mizik and Riva Précil with Bohio Music. Maxwell also graced the stage and explain the reason he fell in love with Artist Institute.
The event was a sold-out success, and according to the organization, they received a record-breaking number of pledges to support Artists Institute.
