What inspired you to start your business?
A desire to be of service and help others in the community I grew up in. To be available to those who otherwise wouldn’t seek care due to either a language barrier or feeling that their provider could not relate to them.
What do you aspire/hope to achieve with your business?
To provide the care that my patients deserve and advocate on their behalf when it comes to their oral health and well being.
What has been the most challenging/rewarding part of your journey?
The most challenging part of this journey is getting everything off the ground and figuring it out as I go along. This has also proven to be the most rewarding when things finally come together and proven to be a success.
How has your background/heritage contributed to your journey?
My background and heritage have contributed to my journey to be an advocate and available to those who otherwise wouldn’t seek help or when they do, may face barriers and obstacles.
What is the most common misconception about your profession, what advice would you provide?
The most common misconception patients have when it comes to dentistry and their oral health is not realizing the importance. Your mouth is the gateway to the rest of your body. You can’t have a healthy body without a healthy mouth. I urge patients to routinely visit their dentist to make sure their smile is as bright and healthy as possible. And for those who don’t have a dental home yet, come on by, we’d love to have you at Broward Family Dental Care.
