With only two weeks into the new year, Michael Brun just added new Haitian Heat to his already growing Spotify playlist with the release of “Gaya” featuring Lakou Mizik and J. Perry. We reached out to Michael who had this to say about the single.
I am very excited about this track, Gaya means to heal or be renewed and this song is about how coming together as a people can do just that. It was an honor to work with so many amazing Haitian artists for this track as it combines Rara, Racine, Kanaval and EDM into something uncharted. Keke Belizaire played guitar and Dadi Beaubrun played bass. My plan is to unite the country through music, and this is the first in a set of upcoming collabs with Haitian artists throughout the year.
