Quick Haitian Recipes

I found this post titled five favorite Haitian recipes. Although I don’t agree with everything on the list such as the soup and coconut curry sauce, it is still a nice list and I thought my readers would enjoying the recipes.   Here are some of FriendsEat favorite Haitian recipes.

Haitian Coleslaw – This tangy coleslaw, with its distinct flavors, may be served cold or at room temperature.

Caribbean Pumpkin and Black Bean Soup – This nutrient-dense soup is filling and flavorful, especially when garnished with a bit of cilantro.

Fried  Plantains This basic recipe can be seasoned with your own favorite spices, making it a perfect accompaniment to any meal.

Caribbean Rice and Beans – Turmeric, balsamic vinegar and cayenne give this dish a sweet and spicy zing.  It’s filling and flavorful and an island favorite.

Coconut Curry Sauce – This sweet and tangy grilling sauce works well for both chicken and fish.
