The Haitian beauty line Kreyol Essence can now be found at more than 95 Wholefoods stores.
The Haitian Black Castor Oil, otherwise known as Lwil Maskriti founded by Yve-Car Momperousse is the first company to launch Haitian beauty products at Whole Foods Market and the first Haitian company to bring Haiti’s beauty treasure to the mainstream U.S. & Canadian market!
The oil doesn’t just work wonders for hair, it’s also great for the skin and has medicinal purposes, the Kreyol Essence line includes a shampoo, conditioner, hair milk, pomade, whipped body creme, and hair and body butter all infused with Haitian Castor Oil to promote hair growth and, strengthen, repair, and moisturize damaged hair.
“Having our products at Whole Foods is a testament to our quality and commitment to social impact in Haiti” said Yve-Car. “We are launching in over 95 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Ohio, Kentucky, Florida, Canada, and are working on additional locations every day.”
Sustainably harvested from farms in Haiti, a large part of the mission of Kreyol Essence is to create jobs on the island, which it plans to do by nature of its harvestation which, through its success, will help stimulate Haiti’s economy as well as its deforestation and soil erosion challenges.
Congrats to them for creating jobs in Haiti and getting a deal with whole foods 🙂

What percentage goes straight to Haiti? I am definitely going to rack up by this weekend, maybe today.
