Merely hours after American Airlines announced a slew of new (and expiring) routes, Delta is swooping in with new routes of its own. This winter, Delta will operate more than 100 flights per week to 15 Caribbean destinations from New York (JFK), including a handful that will be new for 2018-2019.
Delta Air Lines will increase its Caribbean presence with increased frequencies to Nassau, and new flights to Kingston, Antigua, and Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.
The Port-Au-Prince service, set to begin on December 22, will operate on Saturdays only. Flight DL2716 will depart at the same time as DL458, at 08:35, and arrive in Port-Au-Prince for 12:50. The return, DL2718, will depart Port-Au-Prince at 1:55 and arrive back into JFK at 5:55.

The Nassau flight becomes effective on October 1, with flight DL494 departing JFK at 1:45 and arriving into Nassau at 5:10. The return flight, DL799, will depart Nassau at 6:00 and arrive into JFK at 9:10.

The Kingston service, which becomes effective on December 20, will operate on a daily basis. Flight DL2841 will depart JFK at 7:30 and arrive into Kingston at 11:40. The return flight, DL2843, will then leave Kingston at 8:00 the next morning and arrive back into JFK for 12:00.

The Antigua operation is set to begin on December 22, running on a once weekly basis on Saturdays. Flight DL458 will depart JFK at 8:35 and arrive into Antigua at 1:49. The return flight, DL459, will leave Antigua at 2:50 and arrive back into JFK by 6:31.

Operations to Kingston, Port-Au-Prince, and Antigua will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 737-800, whereas flights to Nassau will run with the carrier’s Airbus A320 aircraft.
