Haitian-American rapper’s onstage quip about protecting fans from ICE sparks official response and explosive online debate
Cardi B kicked off her “Little Miss Drama” tour on February 11 in Palm Desert, California, with a high-energy show that quickly turned into national headlines.
During the concert, while shouting out her Mexican and immigrant fans and criticizing tough immigration policies, the Haitian-American superstar jokingly told the crowd: “B**ch, if ICE come in here, we gon’ jump they asses.”
She added: “I got some bear mace in the back. They ain’t taking my fans, b**ch. Let’s go!”
The comment, clearly meant as hype and a playful show of solidarity with her immigrant audience, was captured on fan video and went viral overnight.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which oversees ICE, quickly responded by reposting the clip on its official X account with a pointed jab: “As long as she doesn’t drug and rob our agents, we’ll consider that an improvement over her past behavior.”
The remark referenced old, unproven allegations from 2019 that Cardi B has repeatedly denied and dismissed.
