Congratulations to new Haitian Model Jean Woolmay Denson Pierre on his Vogue Brasil feature.

Jean is a 20-year-old student from Saint Louis de Gonzague Haiti who moved to Brasil to study medicine and started modeling. Jean reached out to us in hopes that we would share a little of his success since moving to Brasil a year ago to let people know there are Haitians living in Brasil who are doing well.

After only a year of being in Brasil, he’s been studying, modeling and landed a few major campaign for some amazing brands.

On Tuesday the Haitian Model was featured in a Vogue Brasil spread inspired by the Greek myth of Salmancis and Hermaphrodite. The spread was shot by Kelvin Yule photographer, 21, and stylist Suyane Naya, 26 who developed an editorial that breaks the barrier between male and female in the midst of rugged scenery.  See full spread here.
