Haitian-American Olympic bronze medalist and University of Michigan gymnast Frederick “Flips” Richard is adding another impressive accomplishment to his growing résumé. The 22-year-old athlete recently completed Harvard Business School’s prestigious Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports (BEMS) executive education program.
Richard shared the milestone with his followers on Instagram, posting photos from Harvard’s campus and expressing his gratitude for the opportunity.

The Business of Entertainment, Media, and Sports program is a four-day intensive executive education course designed for athletes, artists, executives, and creatives seeking to strengthen their business acumen. Led by renowned Harvard Business School faculty, including Professor Anita Elberse, the program focuses on topics such as digital disruption, revenue generation, talent management, marketing strategy, brand building, and emerging media platforms.
For Richard, the experience comes at a pivotal moment in his career. Widely regarded as one of the brightest young stars in men’s gymnastics, he has built a remarkable list of accomplishments, including helping Team USA secure a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, earning a World Championships all-around bronze medal, and capturing NCAA titles while competing for the University of Michigan.
Beyond gymnastics, Richard has successfully developed the FrederickFlips brand, connecting with millions through social media, inspiring young athletes, and expanding into entrepreneurship with merchandise and future media ventures. His ability to combine athletic excellence with business ambition has made him a standout figure both inside and outside the gym.
