17th Annual Haitian Compas Festival May 16th, 2015

It’s almost that time of the year again. The Largest Haitian Music Festival is back in Miami for its 17th year of music, food, parties, kompa and zouk.

The Haitian Compas Festival, the U.S.’s largest Haitian music festival, announces that it is taking the sounds of Compas back to Sun Life Stadium on Saturday, May 16, 2015. “Last year’s success made us really think about what the perfect venue would be for us, we took the time to listen to what the fans wanted and Sun Life Stadium won the majority vote,” said Rodney Noel, CEO of Noel & Cecibon Productions.

In its 17th year, the Haitian Compas Festival has become a staple in the Haitian community in South Florida and has become a yearly tradition for tourists and visitors from all around the world. Local and International acts like Djakout #1, T-Vice, CaRiMi, Nu Look, Klass, Disip, Anbyans, Team Lobey, Kanpech, K-Zino, Gabel, Kaysha, Admiral T, Princess Lover and Kreyol La will be joined with DJ’s from around the globe including, Gardy Girault, Tony Mix, Power Mixx, Nicky Mixx and the Untouchables.

The Haitian Compas Festival weekend has continuously been an experience that begins as early as Friday and lasts until the wee hours of Monday morning the next week. Kick-off parties attract hundreds of music lovers and the after parties are the perfect ending to a fabulous weekend packed with all the fun, entertainment, music and excitement anyone could ask.

 

Thanks to the sponsors, C.A.M, American Airlines, Digicel Top Up, Radio Tele Caraibes, Center for Haitian Studies, Health & Human Services and Chairman Jean Monestime, the Haitian Compas Festival is able to offer its faithful patrons countless festivities to tempt every aspect of their musical palate. Friday, May 15th there’s a choice of two fabulous events, the All Black Affair at Club Space with T-Vice, Klass, Nu Look and CaRiMi and Friday Madness at Moca Café with Kreyol La and Djakout #1. Saturday, May 16th the Haitian Compas Festival takes center stage at Sun Life Stadium, 347 Don Shula Drive Miami Gardens, FL 33056. Saturday night the After Party is at Moca Café for Zouk Night. Sunday, May 17th one of Miami’s first Luxury Compas Boat Rides takes place with Klass, CaRiMi and Gardy Girault. Also Sunday night, Café Iguana will have Nu Look, Djakout #1 and Kreyol La on stage. Monday night the weekend officially ends with Klass at Moca Café.
