Haiti-Born Forward Delino Islovends Earns First-Team Contract With Inter Miami CF

A new Haitian name is making his way onto the MLS stage. Delino Islovends, a 21-year-old forward born in Haiti, has officially signed his first first-team contract with Inter Miami CF after earning a promotion from the club’s second team.

Inter Miami announced the signing Saturday, marking another major step in Islovends’ development within the organization. He is under contract through the 2027 MLS season, with options that could keep him with the club through the 2029-30 season.

His first-team opportunity follows his appearances during the 2026 Leagues Cup, where he started matches against both CF Monterrey and Club León. The opportunity gave the young forward a chance to compete at a higher level and showcase his development on a bigger stage.

But Islovends’ journey with Inter Miami did not happen overnight.

He joined the club’s development system after playing for Miami-based Island United FC and made his professional debut with Inter Miami CF II in August 2024. He continued developing with the club’s second team before earning his opportunity with the first team.

Now, the Haiti-born forward has officially taken the next step in his professional career.

For the Haitian community in South Florida and beyond, Islovends’ promotion represents another young Haitian talent making his mark in professional soccer—and he is doing it on one of the biggest soccer stages in the country, right here in Miami.
