The Ministry of Defense has officially launched a nationwide recruitment campaign for the Armed Forces of Haiti (FAD’H), opening opportunities for qualified Haitians interested in serving as soldiers, officers, non-commissioned officers, and specialized technical professionals.
The recruitment drive is scheduled to take place from June 8 through June 12 across all ten geographical departments of Haiti. Registration and recruitment activities will be conducted daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s military capabilities and expand the force’s operational readiness.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the initiative aims to recruit approximately 1,000 new members as the FAD’H continues its modernization efforts and seeks to build a more professional, skilled, and diversified force capable of supporting national security priorities.
The recruitment process is open to candidates in two primary categories. The first includes individuals seeking to serve as soldiers. While applications are open to a broad range of profiles, preference will be given to candidates who possess certified training in fields such as information technology, secretarial administration, archiving, and other technical disciplines. Civic engagement experience, including participation in scouting organizations, community service, and blood donation programs, may also be considered during the selection process.
In addition to military personnel, the FAD’H is actively seeking experienced professionals in several strategic sectors. Opportunities are available for individuals with expertise in civil engineering, architecture, agronomy, information technology, law, and healthcare. Medical professionals specializing in areas such as general medicine, surgery, cardiology, neurology, and other specialties are encouraged to apply.
To be eligible, applicants must be Haitian citizens in good standing, possess no felony convictions, and meet the physical and mental fitness requirements established by the Armed Forces.
Interested candidates are expected to provide the required documentation, including a birth certificate, national identification card, tax identification number (NIF), certificate of good conduct, and any relevant educational or professional credentials.
The recruitment campaign represents another step in the government’s efforts to rebuild and strengthen Haiti’s military institution while expanding opportunities for citizens interested in serving the nation through military or technical roles.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to consult official government channels and the Ministry of Defense for complete application details and recruitment locations throughout the country.
