Haitian-American Beatrice Mompremier Reports To Training Camp For USA Basketball Team

Haitian-American UM Forward Beatrice Mompremier reported to training camp to join the 2019 U.S. Pan American Games Women’s Basketball Team at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, as the squad begins its preparation for the 2019 Pan American Games.

“Just a Haitian-American trying to win GOLD”, said Mompremier whose 401 total boards and 12.2 RPG last year rank second and fourth, respectively, in ACC history. She also enters 2019-20 tied for the league’s career record at 12.2 per game!

The USA team will undergo training camp until Aug. 5, before competing in the women’s basketball tournament at the 2019 Pan American Games, set for Aug. 6-10 at the Coliseo Eduardo Dibo in Lima, Peru. USA will play in preliminary round Group B, along with Argentina, Colombia, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Playing in preliminary round Group A will be Brazil, Canada, Paraguay, and Puerto Rico.
